Inspired by “One Man Parade” by Becoming the Archetype off their album Terminate Damnation.

I created this piece because I both love the song “One Man Parade” and its message and I’ve been wanting to experiment with typography and shapes in my designs more.

Inspired by “Seatbelt Hands” by Listener off the album Wooden Heart.

Listener is probably the best thing to come out of the woodworks as far as acoustic music is concerned in a while. Instead of singing the lyrics are spoken much like slam poetry. It’s not something that comes around every day, but it’s awesome stuff.

Inspired by “Prey” by Stray From The Path off their album Rising Sun.

I found this particular song through Norma Jean, whose lead vocalist sings part of this song. It’s got a strong message against using religion for material gain, which is something that disgusts me a lot.

seetheshore asked: I check the "Indie Art" tag, just to see your art. I love it.

Thanks. :D It means a lot.

Inspired by “Look Mom I’m on T.V.” by Mozart Season off their EP Apotheosis.

This is quite an angry song and I really think it’s justified. We pump TV into our lives and get numbed to the atrocities on them, especially on the news and on reality television. It’s really disgusting.

Inspired by: “Peace Illusion” by Impending Doom of the album There Will Be Violence.

Sorry for not posting in a long time, followers. I’ve been busy with getting back into the swing of things for school. If any of you all want to send me a message to request a piece or submit something that you made it would be awesome.

Inspired by: “I’m not Here for Rage, I’m Here for Revenge (More Than Your Hookup)” by Emery off the album We Do What We Want.

I probably listen to Emery a bit too much, but they’re really quite inspiring. I’ve listened to them since ‘07 when they released I’m Only a Man and I’ve been hooked since. They’ve got a raw, emotional sound that is either really off-putting or really addicting.

Inspired by: “Walls” by Emery off the album The Weak’s End.

This is my favorite song of all time and I’ve been trying to think of a way to express it in art for so long. Nothing until this piece really did it for me. The cluttered mess in the background, representative of the things that clog people’s lives, coupled with the quote “This place, these walls, mean everything to me,” is the message that I believe the song is trying to convey and definitely what the art is saying.

Inspired by: “Forest” by Number One Gun off the album To The Secrets and Knowledge.

I decided to use some 35mm photos I took a while back for this piece. I really like the texture of it caused by the scanner, dust, and grain. As for the song the only thing I can say about it is that you must listen to it—it’s beautiful.

I would be happy if

I would be happy if someone would ask me questions about my, my art, or anything. I love talking to new people, especially interesting ones.

Inspired by: “In the Room Where You Sleep” by Dead Man’s Bones from the album Dead Man’s Bones.

Requested by fdbckart

I don’t think it’s just me that loves a slightly creepy song, especially when it’s lo-fi like the one that inspired this piece. I really had a lot of fun listening to the song and creating the artwork.

Inspired by: “Falling from the Sky: Day Seven” by Norma Jean off the album Meridional.

This band has become one of my favorites of all time and the song that inspired this piece is definitely one of my favorites by them.

Submissions and Questions are Welcome

If anyone has a band that they would like me to listen to and create artwork about send me a link in my submission box. I’m willing to listen to just about anything indie and if it’s inspiring it may earn an artwork.

And of course I’d love to answer any questions anyone has about me or my work or basically anything else.

Inspired by: “October” by Broken Bells of their album Broken Bells.

Requested by seetheshore.

I’m really enjoying this band so far. I’ll probably see about getting some of their music. It reminds me of Crystal Castles for some reason.
